WhatsApp Campaigns
A WhatsApp campaign sends an approved template to a segmented audience — scheduled or immediate — with per-recipient delivery and read tracking. Here's the end-to-end flow.
Step 1: an approved template
Meta requires every business-initiated message (outside the 24-hour window) to use a pre-approved template. The Templates page manages them all:
- Two-way sync with Meta — existing templates are pulled in automatically; new ones are submitted from inside oToK.
- Template editor — header, body with variables, buttons and a call to action.
- Approval status per template — including the rejection reason if Meta declined.
💡 Meta template approval usually takes minutes to hours. Submit templates ahead of time, not on campaign day.
Step 2: create the campaign
- 1On the Campaigns page, click New campaign.
- 2Choose the template and fill its variable values — you can insert contact fields for personalization.
- 3Pick the audience: contact groups, tags or an advanced filter on any field.
- 4Pick the timing: send now, or schedule for a date and time.
Step 3: sending and tracking
The campaign runs through a managed send queue with automatic retries, so even large lists go out at a safe pace.
- Real-time counters — sent, delivered, read, failed.
- A per-recipient log — what was sent, when, and its status.
- Unsubscribed and blacklisted contacts are skipped automatically.
Email campaigns
Alongside WhatsApp, oToK also sends email campaigns — with a visual editor, email templates and an authenticated sending domain. See the Email Marketing guide.
