Email Marketing
oToK's email channel works with the same contacts and automations as your WhatsApp — but needs one important preparation: an authenticated sending domain. Start there.
Authenticate a sending domain
For emails to be sent in your domain's name (and stay out of spam), verify it once:
- 1Go to Email settings → Sending domains and click Add domain.
- 2Enter the domain (e.g. yourbusiness.com) and you'll get a list of DNS records to add — including SPF and DKIM.
- 3Add the records at your DNS provider (Cloudflare, GoDaddy, etc.).
- 4Click Verify. The status flips to "Verified" once all records are detected — DNS propagation can take up to an hour.
💡 Sending at high volume? Eligible plans can get a dedicated IP address to strengthen sender reputation.
The email editor
- Visual block editor — build the email from blocks: images, text, buttons and dividers.
- Email templates — save designs for reuse on the Email Templates page.
- Variables — insert contact fields for personalization, using the same [[...]] syntax as automations.
An email campaign
- 1On the Campaigns page, create a campaign of type Email.
- 2Pick a template or write a new email, and set the subject and sender.
- 3Choose the audience — exactly like a WhatsApp campaign: groups, tags or a filter.
- 4Send or schedule. After sending, track opens, clicks and unsubscribes.
Deliverability and clean lists
- List validation — before a big send, the system detects invalid, disposable and spam-trap addresses — and quarantines them.
- Engagement as a trigger — an email open, link click or bounce can fire an automation (e.g. automatic WhatsApp fallback).
- Unsubscribes — every email includes an unsubscribe link leading to the contact's preference center.
